這是IBM的一個基本資料備份產品～Tivoli 存儲管理器(Tivoli Storage Manager)
。而 Tivoli 這套存儲管理系統下內含一些特殊應用軟體，包括了專門用來將存檔
的Backup Archive）和恢復資料用的(Recovery)與Oracle、DB2、SAP R/3、Formex
以及Domino等特殊軟體的應用軟體相互結合，當然這其中還包括Tivoli災難恢復管
理器（Tivoli Disaster Recovery Manager）。在系統研究管理領域，IBM 提供檔
案共享(Files Sharing)和SAN管理(SAN management)，從而形成了全面的存儲管理
解決方案。


IBM Tivoli Storage Manager enables you to protect your
organization data from failures and other errors by storing
backup, archive, space management and bare-metal restore data,
as well as compliance and disaster-recovery data in a hierarchy

Storage Manager can help protect computers running a variety of
different operating systems, on hardware ranging from notebooks
to mainframe computers and connected together through the
